Decorative Wall Hangings

I bet none of us lives with empty walls - we all like to decorate our home or display things we are proud of. You don't think so? Look around - don't you see any paintings, photos, plaques or any other kind of artwork or home wall decorations?

Yes, I knew you will have at least little picture on your walls. This tradition of hanging at least something on your walls is so old and casual, that nobody even thinks about. Well, let's think about it.

It's OK, if you have few valuable, original or creative paintings. But many homes, especially decorated by a bit wacky housewife, fan of country-style or village-rooted hostess, are loaded with ceramic, metal, brass, wood or crystal decorations or even more strange things. These wall decoration range from "Home Sweet Home" to large wall plaques, from engraved or hand painted artwork, to decorative Chinese plates in kitchen.

Some people see it cute and even stylish. Others see it as a kitsch and tasteless ornaments.

Whoops, meant to vote the "unique interior" one.. Being a designer, I want my walls to be awesome and fancy when I get my own place :) I've seen those wall vinyl/painted pattern things all over StumbleUpon, and just really love them!
