Caning Is Returned To Schools

The idea of bringing back this physical penalty to classroom may look controversial at first sight, however, it still may become the effective help to teachers, as nowadays it is becoming more difficult to keep the discipline both in elementary schools and high schools.
Caning was a common physical punishment in early childhood education all over the world. Even earlier, birching was used, but it leaves painful wounds, so it was replaced with caning, which leaves less visible marks. Caning was a written rule or important unwritten tradition of majority of western schools till late nineteenth century, and some countries banned it only in twentieth century. This punishment is based on physical pain and shame, which appears because of public performance of it, or because of the fact of being caned itself. If all other methods are ineffective, so why not to use this one again?
While there is hard to prove the long term effectiveness of caning, it really helps to calm down students for short time. However, main disapprovals to caning come from discussions about humanity and children rights.

we wouldn't need discipline in schools if parents at home would teach their kids right from wrong and how to act appropriately at the right time through EXAMPLE.

Forcing people to learn things is violating.
Democratic schools (or just good teaching principles) show an astonishing alternative.

They wouldn't need caning at school if society hadn't made disciplining your children at home a crime. Kids are brainwashed at school to call 911 for any physical punishment. And then you expect parents to be able to keep their kids in line away from home? Yeah, double standard.
