Georgia In NATO
Created: 2008-09-16 17:20:18
NATO expansion is planned, and Russia has no veto rights to stop it. NATO authorities claim, that pressure from this powerful country cannot influence their decisions.
Yet when Georgia was bombed by Russian jets and people were being killed, its appeals for help were met passively. NATO and other countries were just talking and expressing support, and that was not highly effective, nor quick.
So what do you think will happen, when Georgia will reach final stages of acceptance to NATO? If NATO will have to choose between Georgia's membership and good relationships with Russia, which option it will take?
